Ethical Sales Strategies: Boosting Revenue Without the Sleaze

Published on: 28th December, 2021

I am excited to introduce you to today’s guest on The Driven Woman; fellow podcaster, non-sleazy sales consultant, and all-around genius-for-brains, my biz buddy, Annie P Ruggles.  We met online, hit it off automagically because of our mutual interest in the intersection of feminism, mental health, and entrepreneurship.  Annie is a magician in helping female entrepreneurs, coaches, consultants, and service business owners be more successful on their own terms by teaching them how to sell with integrity.

If you have ever struggled to ask for the business, ask for the money, or raise your prices, you are definitely going to want to listen to this one.  Anniepreneur is an open book when it comes to talking about mental health, being an empath, and the fact that being self-employed is an amazing lifestyle, but it’s also just plain hard.  Most women have a hard time asking for what they want, need, and deserve and I love talking with other coaches and consultants who are as committed as I am to helping other women get paid.

This episode is a bit more conversational because Annie and I have an ongoing friendship and have even shared a room at the recent She Podcasts Live conference for female and nonbinary podcasters.  She is super smart, very generous with her expertise and her network, and is truly one of the most original and brilliant people I know. We cover a lot of territory, and you definitely want to listen for these mic drop moments:

  • Overdelivering is not a victimless crime.
  • Assholes don’t get imposter syndrome.
  • The difference between affordable and accessible.
  • And, the juicy topic of #ambitionshaming

So, I bet you can’t wait to know more about today’s fabulous guest, and my “conference wife”  Annie P Ruggles, am I right?  Well, let me count the ways…..

Taming Shiny Object Syndrome in Your Business

Our edge as entrepreneurs comes from spotting trends and launching fresh ideas. The problem? Most of us have a graveyard of half-baked projects, forgotten launches, half-written newsletters, and more orphaned tech tools than we care to admit. About the Podcast

ADHD-ish™
ADHD Business Strategy for Business Owners with Busy Brains
Running a business with ADHD isn't hard because you're distracted. It's hard because most business advice wasn't built for your brain.

Many entrepreneurs with ADHD try to solve business challenges with more productivity hacks, stricter routines, or systems they can never quite sustain. Others keep chasing new ideas, opportunities, and strategies, hoping the next one will finally make everything click.

The result? More cognitive load, more unfinished projects, more decision fatigue, and often more burnout.

ADHD-ish™ is the podcast about ADHD business strategy for business owners with ADHD who want to grow a successful company without forcing themselves to think, work, or lead like everyone else.

Each episode explores the real-world challenges of running a business with ADHD, including ADHD business growth, delegation and accountability, decision-making, executive function in business, burnout prevention, leadership, and building business systems that actually work for your brain. You'll hear practical strategies, honest conversations, personal stories, and expert insights designed to help you make better decisions, follow through on what matters most, and create sustainable success.

I'm Diann Wingert. As a business coach, former psychotherapist, serial entrepreneur, and the creator of ADHD-ish™, I've spent years helping entrepreneurs and business owners with ADHD stop fighting their brains and start building businesses that work with them.

Whether you're an ADHD entrepreneur, an ADHD small business owner, or a founder trying to scale a business while managing the realities of ADHD, this show will help you lead more effectively, grow more intentionally, and build a business that's designed for the way you think.
